FATlab Tutumaz Pinion 148 segment FATbike material Titanium

From its titanium frame to the made in Germany Pinion gearbox, the Tutumaz Pinion is built to last. Skilfully welded from 3AL 2.5V titanium tubing, the frame is completely rustproof. For more precise handling, FATlab has opted for a 148x12mm thru-axle in the rear end. The bottom bracket section of the Tutumaz Pinion is an investment-casted unit built specifically to house Pinion’s gearbox. This marvel of German engineering has proven its worth and reliability during various long expeditions, so it’s a perfect choice for the Tutumaz Pinion. Depending on your preference the bike can be built with a traditional chain or with a carbon-re-inforced belt drive. As for the fork, you get to choose from either a rigid carbon fork or an upside-down fork with 120mm of travel. The Tutumaz Pinion is available as a 27.5+ version (S, M, L) or as a 29+ versions (M, L, XL) You can choose your frame with 3 different dropout styles according to your own preference which are: a standard Fixed dropout, standard sliding dropout or the Fatlab Proprietary Sliding rocker dropout. The sliding dropout versions have a Gates Belt Drive coupling as standard integration. Like all Fatlab Titanium frames, the Tutumaz Pinion comes with perfectly integrated cable routing by using alloy inserts that are removable via a small screw and which base mounts are welded into the frame. The cable routing is set for Pinion Housing, rear brake housing and dropper post housing and is easy to maintain and access.

Frame weight is around 1900grs (without the Pinion gearbox) the gearbox weighs between 2.1 and 2.3 kg depending on the choice of speeds 9,12 or 18.

FATlab Tutumaz 148 frame segment plus bike material titanium

Named after the aboriginal name for the Formosan black bear, the “Tutumaz” combines Fatlab’s trademark agility and the supreme traction and cushion offered by plus-sized tires with the classic looks and longevity of a quality titanium frame. Built to fit suspension forks with 120 millimeters of travel, the “Tutumaz” is equally at home on technical climbs and rugged descents and offers a ride comfortable enough for multiday-long epic adventures far away from smooth road's and surfaces. The frame features a tapered head tube, a post-mount brake mount in the rear and a BSAT47 bottom bracket shell. it is available either in a brushed or in a satin sandblasted finish. The Tutumaz hardtail is available as a 27.5+/29" or a 29"/29+ version and can be made with standard Fixed dropouts or standard sliding dropouts or with Fatlab proprietary Sliding Dropout.
Sizing is either available as S, M, L, XL, and even custom. Hoggar: Extreme Trekking, Adventure

The Hoggar is designed to conquer every terrain possible and at the same time being reasonably light and reliable. You can choose a 177/12mm rear axle width or a 197/12 depending on how wide you want your rims and tires to be. You can order standard sizing or a custom version and also choose from 3 dropout styles, Fixed, standard sliding and Fatlab proprietary Sliding (sliding versions come with Gates Belt Drive coupling). All versions combine precise handling with the compliance typical for titanium that comes in handy in the rough stuff. The Hoggar comes with your choice of wheels and tires for proper float and cornering abilities while being around a kilo lighter than most bikes in its class. To iron out all the rocks and drops you may encounter on your journey you can order FATlab’s upside-down fork.

Gobi: Extreme Trail, Bikepark Fatbike

The Gobi is designed to conquer every terrain possible and at the same time being easier to ride than most fat bikes due to its lower q factor design with a 100mm BSA bb shell. The Gobi is built 2 ways both with a 177/12mm rear axle width either with a fixed dropout or our proprietary Fatlab sliding dropout (gates compatible) with 430-415mm adjustable chain- stay length this ensures precise handling with the compliance typical for titanium that comes in handy in the rough stuff. The frame is built for use with 26/27.5x55/65/80mm wheels with tires ranging between 3.0 and 4.8”. The Gobi bike builds come with narrower 55mm tubeless rims and 4.25” tires for proper float and cornering abilities while being around 1 to 2kgs lighter than most bikes in its class.
