About Dirtlab

— Engineering, made at the source

Built where the bikes are built.

Dirtlab is the direct frame brand of Bikelab Inc., based in Taichung — the city where most of the world's high-end bicycles are built. Carbon and titanium frames, designed and finished in-house, shipped DDP worldwide.

Built as a store of value: long-life frames, supported across the bike's life, repairable when something needs attention.

Why Taichung

Our office is in Taichung. Our suppliers for carbon, titanium, paint, and hardware are within driving distance — fast and easy access to their production lines and R&D departments. Quality is checked before, during, and after every batch, and improvements roll into the next run quickly.

Electronics are a deliberate exception. The Maxon BIKEDRIVE AIR S motor system comes from Maxon Group in Switzerland. Engineering decision, not geography.

Why DDP

Our prices include duty, customs handling, and delivery. Bikelab Inc. is the importer of record on every shipment from Taichung to your address. The price you see is the price at your door — paperwork, clearance, and any back-and-forth with customs is our work, not yours.

Who builds for us

Carbon layup and titanium welding for Dirtlab is done by craftspeople with decades of experience building frames for major mountain bike brands. Same hands. Same factory floors. We ship our frames out under our own name — with our prices, our lead times, and our warranties.

I (Marvin Besselink, founder) have worked in the bicycle industry for 30+ years. Bikelab Inc. is now in its second decade. The K-Volve (kinematics), G-Volve (geometry), and S-Volve (sizing) standards are mine — three engineering rules applied to every Dirtlab frame.

What we make

  • Paratu CP — eMTB on the K-Volve / Concentric Pivot platform with Maxon BIKEDRIVE AIR S
  • Iuhu CP — pedal sibling on the same K-Volve layout, no electronics
  • Iuhu PT / LT — titanium pedal frames, custom-sized, made to order
  • Haipis BP — gravel and light-trail, custom-sized, made to order

Frame kits ship with the right shock and chainguide pre-fitted. Components are your call — DVO and Öhlins compatibility is published on every product page.

Frame warranty

Lifetime frame warranty. 3 years carbon, 5 years titanium — original owner, manufacturing defects. Crash-replacement support for life. Second-owner goodwill (service requests, parts, crash-replacement) after frame registration with us. Full terms →

Where we sell

Direct from Dirtlab: most of the world. Order online, ship DDP, ride.

Switzerland: the Iuhu CP and Paratu CP are available exclusively through OEM partner Transalpes SA, sold under their own model names — C3 (pedal) and E3 (eMTB). Outside Switzerland, both frames are available only as Dirtlab — direct from us. See OEM Frame Partners →
