1. Overview

This website is operated by Bikelab Inc., trading as DIRTLAB. Throughout the site, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Bikelab Inc. By visiting our site and/or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, including all policies referenced herein. If you do not agree, you may not access the website or use any services.

2. Online Store Terms

By agreeing to these Terms, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age. You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. A breach of any Term will result in immediate termination of your access to our Services.

3. Products & Availability

We sell bicycle frame kits, components, and related products. Product images and descriptions are provided as accurately as possible, but we cannot guarantee that colors displayed on your screen are perfectly accurate. We reserve the right to limit quantities, refuse orders, and discontinue products at any time without notice.

All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change without notice. Product specifications may change as we continuously improve our designs.

4. Orders & Payment

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our sole discretion, including orders that appear fraudulent, placed by resellers, or that violate these Terms. We accept major credit cards, PayPal, and additional payment methods as shown at checkout.

You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all orders.

5. Custom & Made-to-Order Products

Custom titanium frames and made-to-order products are built to your specifications and are non-returnable and non-refundable once production has commenced. Changes to custom orders must be requested in writing before production begins. Custom order deposits are non-refundable.

6. Shipping & Delivery

Shipping terms are detailed in our Shipping Policy. Consumer orders ship DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). Lead times are estimates and may vary. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, or force majeure.

7. Returns & Refunds

Returns and refunds are governed by our Return & Refund Policy. Key terms:

  • Returns accepted within 30 days of delivery for unused items in original packaging.
  • Discounted, promotional, and sale-priced items are final sale and non-refundable.
  • Return shipping is at the customer’s sole expense.
  • A Return Authorization number is required before shipping any return.
  • Online purchases are subject to the same return terms.

8. Warranty

All DIRTLAB frames are covered by our manufacturer’s warranty as described on our Warranty page. Warranty coverage is for the original registered owner only, with valid proof of purchase. Warranty does not cover crash damage, misuse, unauthorized modifications, or normal wear and tear.

9. Assumption of Risk

Mountain biking and cycling are inherently dangerous activities. By purchasing and using our products, you acknowledge and accept the risks associated with cycling, including but not limited to:

  • Risk of serious injury or death from falls, collisions, or equipment failure
  • Risks associated with off-road and trail riding, including variable terrain and conditions
  • Risks specific to electric-assist mountain bikes, including higher speeds and additional weight

You assume full responsibility for your safety while using our products. Always wear an approved helmet and appropriate protective gear. Inspect your equipment before every ride. Ride within your ability and obey local traffic and trail regulations.

10. E-Bike Specific Terms

If you purchase an e-bike frame kit or motor system:

  • You are responsible for ensuring compliance with local e-bike regulations in your jurisdiction, including speed limits, power limits, and where e-bikes may be ridden.
  • Lithium batteries must be stored, charged, and used according to the manufacturer’s guidelines. Improper use may void your warranty and create safety hazards.
  • Bikelab Inc. is not responsible for fines, penalties, or legal consequences arising from non-compliant e-bike use.
  • Motor system software updates should only be performed using official tools and firmware from the motor manufacturer.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on this site — including text, graphics, logos, images, product designs, geometry data, brand names (DIRTLAB, Bikelab, S-Volve, Paratu, Iuhu, Tutumaz, Haipis), and software — is the property of Bikelab Inc. or its licensors and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the site or its content without express written permission from Bikelab Inc.

12. User Content & Feedback

Any content, feedback, suggestions, or ideas you submit to us (via email, forms, or otherwise) may be used by us without restriction, compensation, or obligation of confidentiality. You agree that your submissions will not violate any third-party rights.

13. Accuracy of Information

We strive to keep all information on the site accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that all content is error-free. Product specifications, geometry data, and pricing may contain inaccuracies. We reserve the right to correct errors and update information at any time without notice, including after you have submitted an order.

14. Third-Party Links

Our site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites. Use of third-party services is at your own risk.

15. Prohibited Uses

You are prohibited from using the site or its content:

Our total liability for any claim related to a product shall not exceed the purchase price you paid for that product.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bikelab Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim, demand, or damages (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your use of our products, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.

19. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Taichung, Taiwan.

20. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
