Parts Compatibility Guide: Shocks, Forks, Drivetrain, Brakes, and Droppers

Both the Paratu CP and Iuhu CP have specific hardware requirements that are not always obvious from the frame specifications alone. This guide covers the key compatibility constraints for shocks, forks, drivetrain, brakes, and droppers — based on confirmed fits, not assumptions.

Rear shocks

Both frames use a 230 mm eye-to-eye rear shock. Stroke options are 57.5 mm, 60 mm, 62.5 mm, and 65 mm — the stroke you need depends on the rear travel configuration you want. Standard and trunnion mount shocks are both compatible.

Confirmed compatible shocks include:

Forks

Both frames accept forks with a 1.5" tapered steerer and 15×110 mm Boost front axle. Confirmed travel range is 140 mm through 180 mm — all five options are supported. The geometry calculator shows the HTA and BB height change for each travel option.

Fork offset affects trail significantly. At a 63.9° HTA, switching from 42 mm to 44 mm offset reduces trail by approximately 6–7 mm. The geometry calculator at dirtlab.com/pages/geometry shows trail for both offsets at any fork travel and chip position.

Drivetrain

Paratu CP: The motor mount replaces the standard BB shell entirely. There is no standard threaded or press-fit BB on the Paratu CP — the Maxon motor is the bottom bracket unit. Crankset compatibility is determined by the Maxon BikeDrive Air S crank interface specification. SRAM and Shimano cranks compatible with the Maxon interface are listed on the Maxon product page. Standard threaded or PF BB cranks do not fit the Paratu CP.

Iuhu CP: T47 BSA 89.5 mm threaded BB shell. This is not the same as BSA 68 mm or BSA 73 mm. It is also not PF30. T47 is a larger diameter threaded shell — 47 mm internal diameter vs 33 mm for BSA. T47 cranks and T47-compatible BB cups are required. Most current SRAM and Shimano cranks are available in T47-compatible configurations. Confirm your crank and BB combination is T47-rated before purchasing.

Both frames have a SRAM UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger) at the rear dropout. SRAM Eagle and Shimano 12-speed derailleurs with UDH compatibility are directly supported. Other derailleur brands should confirm UDH compatibility before installation.

Brakes

Both frames use IS (International Standard) brake mounts front and rear. IS is the most common standard — most hydraulic disc brake callipers are IS-compatible or come with IS adapters. Flat mount callipers require an IS-to-flat-mount adapter and are compatible with adapters.

Rotor sizing: IS mount front with a 203 mm rotor is the most common enduro spec. Rear IS with 180 mm or 203 mm is confirmed compatible. Post mount callipers are not directly compatible with IS mounts without an adapter.

Droppers

Both frames have a 34.9 mm internal diameter seat tube. This is the post OD required — not 31.6 mm, not 30.9 mm. Shims are not recommended and not supported. The minimum insertion depths are:

• Size S: 120 mm minimum / 270 mm maximum
• Size M: 150 mm minimum / 300 mm maximum
• Size L: 180 mm minimum / 330 mm maximum

Check the dropper’s minimum insertion depth before ordering. A dropper that cannot reach its minimum insertion depth in the frame will not clamp securely.
