32 Wheel Concept
32" Wheel Concept
What happens to geometry, handling, and trail when you run a 32" front wheel on a Paratu CP or Iuhu CP.
Why 32"?
A 32" wheel rolls over obstacles that a 29" wheel climbs, deflects on. The radius difference is 30mm — enough to measurably change how the front end tracks through rock gardens and root sections at speed.
The geometry effect is equally significant. A longer fork axle-to-crown (required by the larger wheel) combined with the increased wheel radius drops head tube angle by 1.5°–2.5° versus a standard 29" setup at the same fork travel — without any chip adjustment. That's a different category of geometry.
Both the Paratu CP and Iuhu CP accommodate a 32" front wheel without structural modification. The flip chip system still functions normally across all 5 positions.
More rollover
30mm more radius over a 29" wheel. Smaller obstacles stop registering at the bars.
Dramatically slacker
HTA drops into 60°–62° territory — beyond what any chip or fork swap achieves on a standard wheel.
High trail, planted feel
Trail values reach DH territory. Front end stability at speed increases substantially.
Frame already supports it
No modification. Flip chip still works. All 5 geometry positions still valid — just recalibrated.
Two Concepts
Geometry values below are R&D estimates computed from confirmed frame constants (R₂₉ = 378mm, R₃₂ = 408mm, base HTA 63.9° at 561mm A-C). Fork A-C values reference the KS 32" fork prototype — not a production product.

| Config | Fork A-C | Approx. travel | HTA range | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard 29+29 | 531–621mm | 140–180mm | 63.3°–64.2° | Production |
| Big Mullet (32+29) | 500mm | ~140mm equiv. | ~63°–64° | R&D estimate |
| Big Mullet (32+29) | 600mm | ~150–160mm equiv. | ~61.6°–62.3° | R&D estimate |
| Big Mullet (32+29) | 700mm | ~170mm equiv. | ~59.5°–60.2° | R&D estimate |
| Mega Mullet (32+27.5) | 600mm | ~150–160mm equiv. | ~60.3°–61.0° | R&D estimate |
