Iuhu CP ultra-light enduro MTB with exceptional climbing and descending capabilities

Introducing the all-new Iuhu CP, after riding our e-bike Testmule for the new Paratu CP, we decided to just remove the engine and add a T47 bb to test a pedal version, and after long discussions internally and with customers, we decided to also produce the pedal version by using the same silhouette.

Iuhu: spoken as YooHoo

The meaning of this word is "Pure Joy" in the Taiwanese indigenous Bunun language.

Behind this name is an enduro MTB with balanced properties on uphill and downhill sections. This one stands to its name: it is an enduro MTB that remains planted when pointed down and is lightning fast when pointed up. Read more to see how.

Frame and geometry

Descending capabilities

We used our special kinematics & Geometry formula for an enduro bike platform that offers speed and control needed for aggressive enduro racing.

We are proud that this one can also climb exceptionally efficiently at the same time.

This is how (we’ll try not to be too technical):

CP: stands for Concentric Pivot. It means that the horst link has moved from in front of the axle to the center of the axle, thus freeing the suspension movement from all braking forces and optimizing a bottomless feel. In combination with the head angle of 63.5° on descents, it will inspire confidence and put a smile on your face - we promise.

Climbing capabilities

We carefully chose the anti-squat and anti-rise levels in order to not mess with descending capabilities, while making it as efficient on the climbs as possible. In simple words, the rear end will behave consistently.

It firms up when you smash on the gas and convert your pedal push to maximum forward movement, all while sitting comfortably at a 77.8°seat tube angle. Still, that won’t jeopardize any of the bike's ability to soak up small chatter and big hits on descents.

This works the same across all the bike sizes, because we want to have 100% performance for 100% of our riders.

Travel and wheel size

We can adopt the recipe in our lab to your needs, depending on the  bike personality you prefer most, it can be an agile and fun enduro bike or a stable and planted bulldozer:

  • Fork travel - use headset, Reach Adjust cups, and 150mm to 170mm forks.
  • Rear travel - 230 eye to eye shock that can give 145/150/160 or 165mm.
  • Wheel size flip switch - 29” front and Rear or choose 29” front, 27.5” rear. This is adjusted via the Yoke.

Weight

Frame material is our forte. It allows us insane ultra-light builds. Frame weight is around 2800g (depending on size and color), and it allows us to assemble:

  • full enduro-oriented build at 17.5 to 19.5 kg (37.5 - 43 lbs)
  • Trail-oriented builds start at 16.9 kg (35.3 lbs) due to lighter components used

Esthetics

You can hide your cables by routing them inside the frame, or have them externally routed for easier serviceability, or if you want to proudly show them to the world.
